Recipe: Medallions of Scamorza smoked cheese, grilled with onions, almonds and vincotto

Difficulty: very easy
For 5 people:
- 10 slices of smoked Scamorza cheese
- 1 jar of “Perchè ci credo” Onion and Almond with Vincotto Sauce
- 10 fresh basil leaves to garnish
- a few leaves of lettuce
- 300 grams of toast cut into strips
- Cut the smoked cheese into round circular slices of ½ inch thickness
- Heat the oven plate and arrange the smoked cheese medallions, avoiding that they melt too much
- Spread on a plate the lettuce leaves and arrange the medallions on top
- Into each medallion pour 1 or 2 teaspoons of the “Perchè ci credo” Onion and Almond Vincotto Sauce
- Garnish with basil leaves and serve with warm strips of toast
Tips: As an alternative to Scamorza smoked cheese, you can use provolone cheese, and radicchio salad as an alternative to lettuce.
Suggested wine: fresh, sweet and fruity rosé wine.
